I want to make more home greener but it seems so overwhelming and I’m so busy! Where do I start? What should I do first? How do I make my home healthier, more efficient, less wasteful?
The 3-Hour makeover will help you make more progress in greening your home in just three hours than you may have done in your last year.
The makeover focuses on the areas of toxicity, waste reduction, energy/water efficiency and conservation. This service is a starting place, offering 4 different avenues to reduce your household's ecological footprint, and provides more in-depth resources for taking next steps when that time comes.
We will start by doing:
- a pre-assessment of your existing green practices (you are probably doing more than you realize!),
- a carbon footprint assessment to determine where to prioritize your efforts.
- a walk-through of your house will allow the Eco Coach to make some suggestions for small-scale, simple installations for greater efficiency and an evaluation of toxic product usage.
- an evaluation of your waste stream will allow us to determine how much waste you generate and provide systems and ideas for waste reduction, including successful composting and recycling.
Each service includes a report of priorities unique to your household, and strategies for making the changes sustainable in your busy life. In-depth resources will also be provided for going further, when you are ready.
Price: $200 + optional cost and delivery of suggested products ie. compost bin, recycling bins, low-flow attachments, and more.
I had a really great afternoon with Lauren. I was absolutely shocked by the data she presented to me, while I knew our family wasn’t the greenest I had no idea about the size of the footprint we were leaving by just not making a little bit of an effort. Lauren was well informed, had an array of literature to back up her knowledge and was able to make the information easy to understand.
I have made several changes to the way we live following the appointment, mostly because they were so easy to implement once somebody showed you how you can make a huge difference without changing too much of your routine.
